Vicky lent us her car and we drove up to Warminster. It was almost unbelievable to be driving back into the town where we’d spent so much time, and nothing seemed to have changed. We went up to Betty’s¹ for a very happy reunion with her and Anne, then out to Corton for afternoon tea. After tea, we walked around to see the Witt brothers at Sundial Farm. As we walked up the drive, Richard Witt spotted us and exclaimed, “Well, bugger me!” When we left Corton, we drove down the lovely Wylie Valley back to Wilton.
