We caught a bus down to Salisbury after walking across the fields from Corton to Upton Lovell. On the outer walls of Salisbury Cathedral, there are faces carved in stone. The faces are tormented. Their features are melting as if acid rain was being poured on them. They are silently screaming as their faces dissolve and time overcomes them.
