COOL We had a 5 o’clock start again and had toast for brekkie then went up to the shed in the car. Got to the cherry patch and got going. Our first tree was quite good & so was the 2nd & we picked 2 lugs in about 1 1/2 hours. The next few trees were lousey¹ then we
got onto a good tree which gave us 3 lugs in about 3 hours of fairly easy picking. (10 lugs for the day). We knocked off a 3:00 & went into town with a German guy called Stephan to do our grocery shopping.
¹Some cherry trees have lots of fruit and few branches and leaves; others have sparce fruit scattered among branches with lots of leaves.
